Today, it remains the market leader in this field. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We are looking for a <strong>Regional Compliance Manager<\/strong> (M\/F) to be based at<strong>Ascoma C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire in Abidjan<\/strong>. This is a <strong>permanent position<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 1 []\">Reporting to the Group Compliance function, you will be responsible <strong>for managing, overseeing, and coordinating compliance activities within your region<\/strong>, which encompasses several subsidiaries.<\/p>\n<p>In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and assessing compliance risks and ensuring compliance with local regulations, statutory requirements, and Group-wide policies and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>You will support local teams in implementing and monitoring compliance programs, particularly in the areas of <strong>anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing (AML\/CFT), sanctions, and KYC<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>You will also provide regular reports to Group Compliance on the main risks identified, any compliance incidents, and the status of corrective action plans.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Missions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul data-spread=\"false\" data-pm-slice=\"3 3 []\">\n<li><strong>Identify and assess the compliance risks<\/strong> to which entities in the Zone are exposed in the course of their activities;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee and support subsidiaries in complying with <strong>applicable laws, regulations, and statutory requirements<\/strong>, as well as Group policies and procedures;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the proper implementation of <strong>AML\/CFT, sanctions, and KYC<\/strong> measures within the Zone\u2019s entities;<\/li>\n<li>Process KYC requests from business partners, as appropriate, and ensure that the required information and documents are complete;<\/li>\n<li>Develop and implement <strong>annual compliance monitoring and review plans<\/strong>, in coordination with Group Compliance;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct scheduled compliance audits and reviews, and monitor identified risks and any instances of noncompliance;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor <strong>regulatory developments<\/strong> and assist subsidiaries in incorporating new requirements into their policies, procedures, and practices;<\/li>\n<li>Oversee the monitoring and implementation of recommendations issued by <strong>regulators, internal audit, and external auditors<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Monitor corrective action plans until they are fully implemented;<\/li>\n<li>Advise and support local compliance teams, particularly <strong>AML\/CFT officers<\/strong>, in carrying out their duties;<\/li>\n<li>Raise awareness and train employees on compliance policies, procedures, and regulations, particularly regarding AML\/CFT;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain <strong>relationships with local regulators<\/strong>, in coordination with Group Compliance, and follow up on any requests or comments until they are resolved;<\/li>\n<li>Prepare <strong>periodic compliance reports<\/strong>, including reports on identified risks, incidents, instances of noncompliance, and corrective actions taken;<\/li>\n<li>Conduct the mandatory regulatory inspections, checks, and reviews;<\/li>\n<li>Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the regulatory environment applicable to the various entities in the Zone;<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the <strong>confidentiality of information<\/strong> processed in the course of your duties.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\"><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-pm-slice=\"1 3 []\"><strong>Education &amp; Skills<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Bachelor&#8217;s or Master&#8217;s degree in law, compliance, finance, insurance, or a related field;<\/li>\n<li>At least <strong>5 years of experience<\/strong>, including at least <strong>3 years in the insurance industry<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>A professional certification in compliance, such as <strong>CAMS<\/strong>, is an asset;<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of <strong>the CIMA Code<\/strong>, insurance industry regulations, and compliance frameworks, including <strong>AML\/CFT and KYC<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent command <strong>of French and English<\/strong>, both spoken and written.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Desired Qualities<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-spread=\"false\">\n<li>Diligence, independence, and a commitment to confidentiality;<\/li>\n<li>Excellent analytical, organizational, and summarization skills;<\/li>\n<li>Strong writing and communication skills;<\/li>\n<li>Ability to solve complex problems and make decisions;<\/li>\n<li>Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in an <strong>international and multicultural environment<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/forms.cloud.microsoft\/Pages\/ResponsePage.aspx?id=xra2babKZki7aLgGcMG77zyYuholWMJElIOtfksh4wNUQ1k2MjBDWE0xWlpKSlRCSFg5R0FNSkw0NC4u\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Submit your application<\/a><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>About us Ascoma Group is specialized in insurance brokerage.
